By accessing or using What's Cooking? (“the service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service does

What's Cooking? is a free tool that suggests recipes based on ingredients you provide. Recipe data is sourced from Edamam. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any recipe. Always use your own judgement when preparing food, and follow safe food-handling practices.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
  • Scrape or reproduce recipe data in bulk without permission
  • Use automated means to access the service at scale

Intellectual property

Recipe content is provided by Edamam and individual recipe authors, and is subject to their respective terms. The What's Cooking? interface, design, and code are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recipe is suitable for consumption by individuals with dietary restrictions or allergies. Always check ingredients carefully.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, What's Cooking? shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to adverse reactions to recipes followed via the platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
