Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using What's Cooking? (“the service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service does

What's Cooking? suggests meals based on the ingredients you provide. Recipe discovery uses the Spoonacular API. Full recipe content is original, generated by AI and owned by What's Cooking?. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any recipe. Always use your own judgement when preparing food, and follow safe food-handling practices.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
  • Scrape, reproduce, or redistribute What's Cooking? recipe content without permission
  • Use automated means to access the service at scale

Cook This feature

The Cook This feature extracts recipe data from public social media videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) by processing the audio transcript of the video. By using this feature, you confirm that:

  • You are only submitting URLs for publicly accessible videos
  • You are using the extracted recipe data for personal, non-commercial purposes only
  • You understand that the extracted recipe is an AI interpretation and may not be a verbatim reproduction of the original content

We do not store video content. Transcripts are processed in real time and are not retained after the recipe is extracted. We are not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. If you believe your content has been used inappropriately, contact us at hello@whatscooking.app.

Intellectual property

The What's Cooking? interface, design, AI-generated recipe content, and code are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recipe is suitable for consumption by individuals with dietary restrictions or allergies. Always check ingredients carefully.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, What's Cooking? shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to adverse reactions to recipes followed via the platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
